Last picture showed the reservoir lake in the morning, the following two in the late afternoon.
Both made with DFA28-105@28mm, raw conversion Capture One Pro.
Thought a b&w conversion could also do well. I'm quite happy with it.

I like the fruit-vender lady. I think I've seen her elsewhere.

Been really enjoying your Havana shots!

Some morning window shots....

"That's a damn cat down there...call Otis!"

1/60 handheld @500mm can still get you a shot with the K1!

Regards!

Nice example of the Irix. I am sorely tempted the more I see posts from it like yours & Frederic's.

Question - Is the Firefly the same glass, just in a lighter non weather resistant barrel, or is there other differences? I'd prefer the lighter package, if optics are same. (and the lighter price of course)
Eric

So same optics, same weatherproof, just a plastic housing is the difference. I was skeptical at first now I am sold. Love the lens.

From my research into uwas - the cheaper Irix option is less weather-sealed, the more expensive one has the front element sealed while cheaper one doesn't. Optics are the same. Weather sealing on the barrel is the same as well

Thanks for the info on the Irix. I shall keep this in mind when I'm out and about.

A friend dropped off some peppers for me and I have to obey: "the red rule... when I see Red I shoot it"

Several months ago Scott Kelby posted a little tip for wedding photographers about using macro lenses and the glossy surface of a cell phone or tablet to make great photos of bride and grooms rings. I've used the technique a few times since, and in this case, I used it two ways. No flash was employed in the making of these photos... but I works with flash too.
