last two selfies

These photos are posted mainly for Kerrowdown. Some local Highland cattle & a shot of their house.
Frederic, my selfies are sorta like your moon shots or Ruperts squirrel shots. Also Eric's bee was in flight, yours was not...
Best Regards, Bob

The moon, and that’s it. Not particularly artistic but still here it is.
Shoot with K-1 and Pentax 135-600 at 600mm. Near 100% crop.
Great pic, Gimbal, and my mind's still blown from reading '135-600' ... do you have any sports or wildlife pics?

That kind of bark is so familiar.

Thanks. No other pictures as I don’t use it normally, it’s just too large/heavy and slow to use. It has a tripod mount but it’s located at the end of the +4kg lens so the unbalance is epic, the tripod head has to be locked down firmly making aiming adjustments hard. But someday I will make a bracket of some sort to balance it better.

Okay, if you ever get a workable setup (and by the sound of it hydraulics or a team of mules may be involved) I'd love to see some more pics.

Hah! Beware the selfie stick that can hold a K-1, you might need a license to carry one of those.

Those Highlanders look like something Jim Henson dreamed up. Very cool shots of some out of the ordinary beasties.

As someone who not only enjoyed in my youth the vet adventure books of James Herriot (James Write), but the Brit TV series All Creatures Great & Small as well, I find your latest series of farm country images very pleasing indeed. One got the feeling we lost something with the advent of modern methods & machinery very keenly in Herriot's books. It was only loosely based on actual events, but I thought it was very spot on in capturing the issues of the day in our transition to modern farming.

The Concorde. proof that bigger , better, faster isn't always cost effective, or sustainable.
