P.S. : K1+DFA*70-200 wide open, definitely loving image rendering, but auto-focus was a struggle... following the "advice" of beholder, I believe he doesn't tell how many keepers he got, not so many I suppose.
After using AF.C with the best settings and seeing so many were out of focus, I gave up and decided to give the normhead method a try (i.e using AFS with frequently re-initiating AFS by pressing shutter button many times, I actually got a little more keepers.
I've noticed this also, tho not with that lens but any lens. I use AF.C predominately but tend to refocus and shoot again multiple times in that mode as well, I wonder if that differs significantly from doing the same with AF.S mode..?

A few from today. Or rather, tonight. Both 30s exposures with the A 20/2.8.

Well lucky for you guys I am a little low on cash for the foreseeable future so I doubt I will be picking up any additional lenses this year.

Chris,

May I humbly suggest the Irix Blackstone 15mm F/2.4 and/or the FA 20mm F/2.8 (if you can locate one) ? These two have pride of place in my #1 bag
I have looked at Irix and it seems like a fine lens from the sample images I have seen. I have heard mixed things about the FA 20mm.

Have always enjoyed & "liked" the photos of your models, abut have never actually commented until now. Really liking the landscape sunrise/sunset photo. Nicely done Sir.[COLOR="Silver"]
You are very kind. I think I will be going back to my old ways and focusing on more landscape/still life in the future.

Yes, the Irix 15mm is a great lens. The Pentax FA 20mm F/2.8 holds its own on my K-1. Not sure what you have heard. The lens does have a small amount of barrel distortion but that is trivial to remove in post if necessary. One thing is for sure though, it is a very popular lens as it is very difficult to find in the used market. ;-) I was lucky and found a mint copy in Japan.

If you find it you can also give the FA*24 f/2 a try. Once stopped down to at least f/5.6 it's sharp and give nice results...
