A good reason why the K-1 is called one of the best landscape cameras. No filter, only post was cropping and shadow adjustments. Taken at the Salton Sea, California. DFA 24-70.

Another A 20 shot. I like the distortion from this lens. Nobody can accuse it of being too clinical

Very nice! That 24-70 sure is sweet..... I will try to prove it again - and show it does OK when it is rainy and dark too! Two from Ardvreck Castle, Loch Assynt in the Scottish Highlands.

Eric, one of the best shots I've seen of the Salton Sea, & very nicely processed. I live two hours from there in Yuma, AZ. I keep meaning to go shoot there, but haven't yet. You just inspired me to go soon. Yes, the K-1 is amazing. I have not regretted for one minute selling most of my Nikon gear to buy one & three lenses.

K-1 sunrise image quality

Eric'c Salton sea sunrise photo reminded my why I love the K-1 as well. Went out this morning to shoot a historic bridge 10 minutes fro my home and saw this photo appear behind me while I was waiting for the right light on my subject. The cement materials plant at the bottom of the mountain and the highway was not a preferable foreground, but ended up making for a very dramatic shot in my opinion. The level of detail in this 10 second exposure with the 28-105 @ 58mm amazes me. I've included a 100% crop to show what the K-1/28-105 is capable of. As usual, the only limitation is me.

Thank you so much! We got lucky with an amazing sunset and light, I was happy to be at the right place and time! But, there is plenty to photograph there. Landscapes, birds, abandonments, old signs... Have to check out Slab City, East Jesus and Salvation Mountain when you go!

Thank you! Finally i have some digital cameras that don't make me miss film so much. This and my 645D (even better than K1 imho) are very nice indeed! However a 67II arrived in the mail yesterday so we shall see what that old thing can do.

cheers
