Isn't that the bridge between New York and Vermont that crosses Lake Champlain?
Yup, it is!

That area around Lake Champlain is a real treasure. A lot of history there. Empires fought for control of North America in that area. And the colonies proved that they could defeat the British Empire near there too.

That bridge wasn't even on the planning board 10 years ago. The bridge that had been standing there for 80 years was scheduled for it's annual inspection. What they found was so bad that they immediately closed it leaving people on both sides with a major headache. Less than two years later the present bridge was completed. They had to set up a ferry service while demolition of the old bridge and construction of the new bridge was in progress. I ahve driven over the old one a few time. Not the new one yet.

Great shots from your visit to out area of the country.

I live in this area, although I moved few years ago, but have visited before when the old bridge was still up, and do remember the ferry rides when they demolished it. I quite enjoy the forts in the area, and love Adirondack mountains. Hopefully will get to hike out more next summer, if time allows)

I have plenty of photos of local area in this gallery here: Adirondacks - Photos by Timur Dzhambinov / 500px

My day job is an outside sales rep. It gives me lots of background in the struggles of small business. I really feel for all those pro photographers out there struggling to make ends meet while high school kids with Walmart special D3200's or T5i's are pillaging the profitable segments selling their service for too little, and establishing unreasonable expectations for clients. When ever I get an opportunity for a paid gig, I refer it to one of a half dozen or so Pro's I know. That being said, I do like to exercise a bit of craft when the opportunity arises. Like today for example - our annual company kids Christmas party. K-1 + SMC Pentax DA*55mm f1.4 flashed with a couple of 43" soft boxes, left one filled with AF 360 FGZ, and right one with AF 540 FGZ triggered by Cactus v6 transceivers. In that situation, it would be crappy cell phone pics if I didnt do my thing, so no small business was harmed in the making of these photos. On the contrary, I think the folks there appreciate that they really ought to get "a real photographer" when it matters.
