Piatra Craiului mountains and Bucegi mountains seen from Magura Village. Instead of hiking the Piatra Craiului ridge (first picture) as I did countless of times at Christmas time, this year I went for a different approach and spent the New Year's Eve in a small village between the mountains. I remember I've read somewhere that from the top of the mountain you cannot see the mountain... maybe it's true

Here is couple from today, when sun actually showed it self to us at here, it was nice.

I was pleasently surprised how much fun Samyang 14/2.8 is on FF(I'v had it for yrs, but have put it aside for long time). Sure, there is quite a bit distortion, but when shooting at nature, it does not matter so much(at least to me). Anyways, here is some pics.

It's quite easy to fix the distortion with the adobe sy 14 profiles, it removes the mustache bubble thing almost entirely (although it does crop to around 15mm). It is a fun lens)

First picture was corrected. Moushtash will be there little a bit even with that profile..but it is quite good still. Nature pictures are not corrected, but I don’t want to correct it either, it gives little more ’puch’ to image to have that distortion IMO. Does nit work with every subject thou. Lot of fun with this lens for what it is and great bang for a buck too.

From my time in Niagara Falls...

K-1 and DFA 28-105
1600 ISO, ƒ8, ƒ5.6 as it got darker, AV, Pixel Shift

My little model, 1:1 pixel peeper, check out the detail on her clothes. I didn't see the pattern on her pants until I took the picture.

From the Corning Museum of Glass on our 40th wedding anniversary in 2016. Dark room, little available light, K1 with the D FA 28-105. Hand held at 1/5 second. The K1 can really shine in these conditions.
