Tried to catch a little of the blue hour with the gold sunset by including the cooler gravel in shadow from the road in this one...

Westminster Abbey during Lumiere 2018

This is not intended to be an example of an architectural photograph. I had to use a slow shutter speed, a high ISO, the camera was handheld above the heads of the crowds. i did apply shift-lens effect in PP, but clearly needed more!

I simply post it because you folks here like interesting pictures, and foremost as a testament to the clever people who stage events such as these. It was a glorious view to behold on a cold January night in London

That is a dazzling effect, although I'll wager there are stuffy traditionalists who will brand it a sacrilege

a wee bit of fog

elpolodiablo, awesome golden clouds shot.
Rondec, like that old barn in the snow, and of course the sunrise and the snow, I have sorta been in to the starburst thing lately.
rondoudou87, excellent wildlife photos with that DA*300.
Botanizer, beautiful 35mm macro shot.
repaap, real nice DA*55 photos.
Frederic, fantastic birdie shots, and I really love that 3rd night street scene.
BorisKolo, beautiful beach scene.
jva59, really like those sunset shots.
Kiwipixter, like the first & the last that you posted.
savoche, really nice ice shot & love the impala photo.
acoufap, that B&W log cut is not a great shot but I like it, but I have been cutting some large trees down so it is a familiar sight.
normhead
, nice dog shots.
BruceBanner, nice cat shot.
Eric, looks cool to me, nice capture.
pschlute, I love it, thanks for posting.
First photo is of the sun & Natchez on the road taken 3 days ago at near high noon. This time of year I call it low noon. Then a warm front came in to melt the snow & ice but brought nice thick fog.
Second shot is on the road again today with the fog, again at near low noon.
Then a shot of the house from next to the barn and a shot of the barn from the house.
Best Regards, Bob

Fog brings a soft diffuse light to a scene, looks quite mysterious.
