Thank you! actually it was not that cold, just around freezing temperature, certainly a lot warmer than past years.

That's my favorite of the bunch. Love the mood.

Couple more pictures from Magura. I have a lot of regrets not being able to visit this place in the autumn... I will try this year.

Eric, looks cool to me, nice capture.

First photo is of the sun & Natchez on the road taken 3 days ago at near high noon. This time of year I call it low noon. Then a warm front came in to melt the snow & ice but brought nice thick fog.
Second shot is on the road again today with the fog, again at near low noon.
Then a shot of the house from next to the barn and a shot of the barn from the house.
Best Regards, Bob
Thanks!

I'm normally a sucker for blue sky's and sun stars, but number 2 does have a certain mood... could be a backdrop for a M Night Shyamalan film... "After a soft yelp from Natchez, the snow beast disappears into the forest and all that is left are Natchez fading paw prints as they are filled by new snow"...

Great action shot! Whenever I see that when fishing around here, I pack up and either move to a different fishing spot or go home. Nothing will be biting with that going on. Heh.

You may have regrets, but I am happy you were there when you were to take these. The whole looking down at the clouds and winter chill of the scene is terrific.

This is not intended to be an example of an architectural photograph. I had to use a slow shutter speed, a high ISO, the camera was handheld above the heads of the crowds. i did apply shift-lens effect in PP, but clearly needed more!

I simply post it because you folks here like interesting pictures, and foremost as a testament to the clever people who stage events such as these. It was a glorious view to behold on a cold January night in London
And glad you did! Wow, great colors.

Reflection ponds at the winery.

They had groups of Adirondack chairs scattered around the grounds and encouraged people to do some "wine tasting" and relax in their beautiful setting.

@jabobby, I appreciate your comment on my last B&W image - thank you!

A nice example where our different responses to this image are visible. You connect with memories. That’s nice. Some people may think „Just a cut tree, what’s special?“. Why did I photograph this?

I suddenly realized the structure of the cut contrasting with the naturally grown tree annual rings and some other textures like waves - and the diagonal wedge. Side light made it visible and special for me. It’s fun cause I see it as an abstract. Something that can be interpreted widely. Like we do when we ask „What do you see in that cloud formation?“. I love this picture and even think about printing it!
