Wow just after Eric
Frederic is just lucky I guess... since my junk makes his masterpieces look so good! You can pay me later.
Amazing flower with trans-focus lens, great night shot too... but those tree lights were supposed to come down after New Years. At least there is no ugly moon behind it.

Eric, those are some nice shots, like the flare. I also like the 2 Cello's version, and should have stated earlier that the peanut butter was on the ground, that is what got them to come in.
Best Regards, Bob
Thanks Bob! Always enjoy your comments, and your backyard pics too.

quiet winter farm

clackers, stunning shot of the Honeyeater.
Hattifnatt, love that reflection shot, looked at it on flickr to check the time taken, thought it would have been real late with no people. Did you chase them all away?
savoche, awesome freezing photos, gives me the chill.
Mike.P, very pretty dead flower...
Eric, very nice water scenes, I like the B&W.
Frederic, as my local vultures would say "very strange tree"
Here is a shot of a local farm, not much going on outside but they sure have a beautiful spread.
Best Regards, Bob

Sometimes it pays to look up. This shot is not that great in color, but in B&W I think it does pretty well.

Bob, I think the snow is fooling your meter. Try a bit of "+" exposure compensation when shooting a "white" scene.

Thank you. There were people passing by but because of the slow shutter speed they only appeared like a blur somewhere in the picture. However I took that shot couple of times until finally I managed to get one without any interference. I would mention that people in Galway were extremely polite, those coming from behind me understood what I was trying to do and they just stopped there waiting for me to finish the shot, but occasionally somebody would pop out from the streets in front of me, so I had to redo the shot several times until I was happy.

I think Pentax is more for dogs

Thanks again Bob! As some have noted, the scene might be a tad dark, but I am thinking that is pretty much how you saw it so you left it?
Either way, those people have a nice spread there. Anyplace big enough for a good size silo like that is a going concern.
It might be fun to grab a spring/summer shot from the exact same view and put side by side in a frame.
Eric

Falls

Could have used an ND filter, but I think it's ok for F22...?

Wonderful shot. When tell people me about how much attentions their kids need I tell them to have more kids. They keep themselves amused for longer stretches of time. I wish mine were still that age and at home. When they are little you hold their hands while they cross the street. When they get bigger they cross that street all by themselves and there is nothing you can do about it.

Thank you.

We have four children and each one of them is a blessing in his/her own way.

Not wrong But I was in a car on the highway, so not very easy to take long exposures
