Examples of two great APSC lenses' extended purpose using the K-1 FF sensor.

You can't get it using an APSC camera.

Others may say - wasted sensor pixels. It's our decision how we'd like to see it.

Snow Laden Lines

K-1 • Square Mode • DA55-300PLM@55 • ISO100 • 1/160 • f/11

Snowy Chaos

K-1 • Square Mode • HD DA15 • ISO100 • 1/125 • f/11

pp crop to 4600 x 4600 px to get rid of dark corners

by the way - IMO it would be great
if future Pentax APSC lenses were at least fully FF Square compatible

Another attempt of the doors so the main door is not so centered. A little noise gives it a Tri-X look.

It seems the stairway stopped at the widow's walk, though...

(...and shouldn't it have been "glisters"?)

Kerrowdown, A grand picture of I'm sure a grand location is the Caledonian. Looks like the kind of place one could partake of a beverage or two. I wonder if they serve sarsaparilla ?

Ditto on what Tim said, nice deep reds Vincent!

I have to ask... do you have any trouble with the red channel blowing out to pink in spots on some of the petals in mid day sun and have to do a lot of selective color channel reduction for the red channel? Sometimes I get the red channel blown out to Magenta enough that I have to use the individual color hue channel slider for magenta and slide it over to the red side, and pull the lightness & highlights down... is it just me, am I doing something wrong or do we all contend with it to some extent?
Thanks!
Eric
I shot this with pixel-shift, which I think helps some. Also, I tend to under expose a stop when shooting red flowers. In Lightroom, I think you need to be careful what camera profile you use too. Natural works OK, but most of the others like bright really do weird things to reds.

If you enjoy URBEX photography, the K-1 should be a top choice!
