Here's a couple from my daughters b'day party yesterday;
I found shooting in this kinda venue incredibly difficult, this was the only shot I was happy with, and I snapped for 45mins :/
I found AF failed dramatically in most instances, not fast enough, and I couldn't (yet again) get the 540II flash to use its LED to assist with the focusing! How do I tell it to bloody well be utilised on every shot regardless of whether it 'thinks' it's required or not! Couldn't use AF.C either (due to the flash LED assist not working at all in that mode).
Anyway, yeh tough shots, Manual mode was better (meaning moving off Auto ISO), but then due to the venues lighting, panning around and I had to constantly adjust the ISO before taking the shots. Definitely need more practice (with flash) and this kinda scenario.
