@eaglem,
nice roses, nice colors, nice light,
@Hattifnatt,
beautiful B&W landscape…
@Digitalis,
what amp can reach 300W class A? My Threshold SA/6e are big (30Kg each) and just 125W and 52°C/125°F…
@Erictator,
nice shots, fantastic colors, nice rendition, nice droplets…
@awscreo,
splendide landscape as usually…
@Jean Poitiers,
Model and B&W process are very nice while I do not know what gear you used…
@Urs,
nice shots as well…

Thank you all for sharing...

Very good choice for a monochrome version! Collioure has been on my list of places to visit in France, for a while now.
We were very lucky these last days as there was snow everywhere in France except where I live, sunshine and 17°C/63°F today…

It's an old Kinergetics 150w/per channel THX certified amp*, it is complete and utter overkill for the Klipsch RP160M - which have a sensitivity of 96db @ 1 watt/1m. I am a firm believer there is no such thing as too much amp power - there is, however, a thing called restraint.

*It weighs as much as my SVS subwoofer. During the summer months I use Class D amps as the ambient temperatures here in Australia can get high enough to literally cook equipment that wasn't built with active cooling, I switch to Class A during the winter months. I'll admit I have been looking at some of the Class A/B amps from Emotiva with interest, I have been hearing good things about them.

In the winter, my 60" plasma Kuro keeps us warm... almost as warm as my golden ears Scott 299B which drives my Energy Refcon 22's with ease. in the summer I switch to the Parasound that drives my vintage RS 2.5's. Bless John Curl.

That reminds me (keeping this K-1 photo related) I've been meaning to try some high iso shots of the tube amp running in the dark...

A lot of beautiful things to watch (including two museums Rigaud and Céret), to drink (wine) and to enjoy (sea and mountain, gorges and cascades) where I live. I am lucky....

Just to illustrate...

Collioure, Leica Apo-Asph-Summicron-R 90/2. K-1.

Merci ... the first image is PP via Lightroom 4 (to my tastes) and taken with the K-1 + 77/1.8@ f/3.2. ... it was seriously under exposed but I fixed that.

The second image is handheld using only rear screen of a used Sony Nex 5 that I just bought and attached was a Minolta MD 50/1.2 at about f/4 for some reasonable DoF.

What was odd was that the "Sony Ambassador" (Pauline Darley = Pauline (@paulinedarley) ? Instagram photos and videos) said that she shoots all of her studio images between f/8 & f/11 with a Sony Alpha 7iii and a Zeiss 55/1.8 ... go figure. Small aperture portraits are really not to my liking, but I guess it goes well for the "fashion - beauty" type studio work.

Here's another very quickly made snap with the K-1 + 77/1.8 ... @ f/4 and only a constant soft box light source.

Merci bien mon ami ... I was glad that I went and discovered that these Alpha 7's might not be (probably not be) an option for me. I really did not like the EVF overall and the image quality was a disappointment (is this studio setting).

Again, maybe it was me, but I am quite happy with the results of my used purchased Sony NEX 5 with either the MD 50/1.2 or the FL 55/1.2 attached. I really got it for these lenses ... and I now have a "Nex to Pentax K" adapter coming so as to try out the SMC K 50/1.2 in a bit of home window light portrait fun ...

Hi Jean Poitiers,
you are right, besides EVF of Alpha 7 and 7xII are retina killers. That's why I opted for Pentax K-1... But what about the Alpha 7RIII's one? I have been told they made huge improvements about it, as good as Leica SL?
