I don't know how to break this to you all, but there's more... a lot more...

This set of flutterbys is where I flipped to TAv mode, and just let the ISO run wild*** so I could get silly fast shutter speeds.

This first first shot of the set is my preferred one, really nice ! And yes, a little bite of grain is better than blur IMHO. I should think more about the TAv mode, thanks for this advice.

sticks & canes

wkraus, very nice March snow barn photo, almost a B&W.
teiki arii, nice B&W shots.
milaber22, real cool shot of selective lit elements.
Frederic, love that shot of the buildings, awesome architecture.
kenspo, excellent photo of Apocalyptica. To hear them live would be supreme I am sure.
eaglem
, your Magenta Crepe Roses photo is absolutely superb.
Eric, I have been shooting TAV since day one, just my preference. Guess a carry over old habit from film. Of course for night shots and old glass then manual. Therefore every photo that I have posted was shot as such, and after the first month all RAW. Happy to see that you are trying it, sure makes for lots more fun as old Rupert would say and by golly I am having tons of fun.
Here are some photos of what I have been spending a whole bunch of time on the past few weeks. Hiking sticks & canes made from maple, ash, cherry & service berry also called June berry.
Best Regards, Bob

Interesting shot. I'd see it in black & white.

As it is, I see it as an allusion to Schindler's List.

Thanks Ariis! Being able to share is what makes this forum great. There is grain, and then there is GRAIN. I don't mind a little texture, but giant smeared blobs lacking in detail is no fun. This really isnt an issue for the K1 at almost any ISO as long as viewing at Web sizes or small prints.

Wow Bob, that is a real talent right there. Very cool walking sticks. My woodworking talents are squandered on balsa wood... don't ask.

Impressive...

Very impressed by the digitalized version of this one. I have printed it 10 years ago and working on it from the digitalized version is a pure miracle. So easy...

Haven't shot too much lately beyond the bare minimum "required" by the Daily in March Challenge. Here's a sit rep from today's walk, though. In short, winter is not over quite yet.

Yuma Painted Desert

A few images from this weekend's outings. No clouds, but that's Yuma. Did find some wild burros in good lighting though. They were a ways away and I had the 28-105 on the K-1 and no time to change to the 70-200, so had to go for the environment shot.

Thanks! So is this a film photo, scanned and then edited?

Tête‑à‑Tête

A bonnie wee miniature Daffodil (Tête‑à‑Tête) arrived in Kerrowdown grounds at last, maybe spring is coming to the Highlands.

Made all dreamy with “Femme Fatale” (Pentax-A 50mm F2.8 Macro) wide open.
