Robber Fly.

As seen on my clothesline this morning. I actually really like these guys, so photogenic and model perfectly for the camera, epitome of an Aussie insect, relaxed and not in a hurry.
FYI: Here's one of those big western robber flies photographed in Utah with a K1. This image was posted sometime earlier.

Very true indeed! =) The little bay was quite protected, if you look at the boats in the background you'll see the sea wasnt relly calm

Looks more 'mothy' like huh, grey tones etc.

Anyway...

Happy Easter!

Build found on instagrams custombrick page, instantly fell in love with it. Hopefully this build won't be too puzzling for some (answer in the tags!).

Thanks mate, but to be honest, there was a lot of Photoshop involved haha

I thought I'll upload 2 more images, one before and one after PS. The composition isn't great I have to admit, but I am always impressed of what you can do with a raw file. I actually went for a night swim in Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida, but as the skies were clear and the moon low, i figured I'll take my equipment along, and alas, the milkyway was showing a bit =) You gotta be lucky sometimes =)

Still after 2 years the K-1 keeps on surprising me with its low light capabilities. The amount of detail you can pull out of the shadows is just amazing.

The funny thing is, this is exactly how I remember my grandmothers home... only the dog would warm her feet while she was peddling away on the Singer, enjoying the ride. (who needed treadmills?)
If you are thinking I'm not old enough to have a grandmother from that period, I come from a long line a italians that live into their 90's or 100's, and marry and have kids late in life.
Seriously. My Nana was born in the late 1800's.

My father's father was born in 1872. I never knew him as he died three days after my parents were married in 1946.
