DimC, that is an outstanding series, nice compositions especially the last scene.
Frederic, yes, I would love to have your rhubarb pie recipe.
Here is a shot of the coltsfoot taken with the 645 A 120/4 macro lens and 2 shots of a couple dirty wood frogs taken with the 150-450 lens.
Best Regards, Bob

Near ground makro photography can be a bit hard if you like me have sometimes problems with your back. To get working more comforable I often sit on a retracted Walkstool Comfort. A tool I’d always recommend. I also often use it when working with my small travel tripod. It’s usage is unbelievable convenient. And of course the K-1's great flexible display helps too. Selfie with Walkstool retracted ...

I also get the occasional delay switching between On1 modules but normally the biggest delay is when I enter the Develop module from Browse with an image for the first time. After that it's not slow to jump between Develop and FX but there is a delay after doing PP and returning to Browse which is annoying.

When you compare the two programs I think some of the delays in On1 are probably due to it not doing some of the work that LR does on import. So LR import is slow but then the images are more easily moved around the various modules in LR. On1 imports faster but then needs to do some of the prep that LR does on import as you jump from Browse to Develop or FX. If the switching continues to be slow it could be that some of the default settings don't suit your machine. Have you looked at the system setting options under Edit/Preferences? This might help a bit or not but it can't hurt to give it a try.

Beyond that I'd suggest asking the tech support guys at On1. The tech guys have had a lot of work on with this release which suggests to me that something needs fixing 'under the hood' and a future update might improve things. I've had issues with crashes that don't make sense sometimes and I'm looking at a fresh install of Win 7 Pro to get back to a good starting point and see if the problem persists. I stopped using LR last year and have no plans on going back so I plan on annoying the tech support people more if the issues continue.

Anyhoo, a nice series of images there mate, I loves me a bit of wide angle and you're getting some excellent results out of the Irix. I can see that lens becoming one of the most popular wide angles around these here parts. I was out doing some wide angle stuff this morning, not as wide as the 15mm but anytime I'm shooting into the sun the Zeiss 21mm is my favourite.

Tas

X-Post with the Zeiss thread,
Thanks for your comment.
Well you're right that the main problem with On1 being slow is with the first tie you enter developp module. It's much better after this initial step.
Also I need to upgrade my Imac which has only 8Go of ram.
On1 is way faster on my Macbook pro with 16Go, that sure is one of the reason the software is running slow on Imac.

Irix Thingy ƒ/10.0 15.0 mm 1/250 ISO800

My wife prefers this color version... I have learned not to argue, she has good taste, she picked me after all.

I'm with your wife... no let me rephrase that.... I agree with your wife.
That particular image doesn't have the contrast to work as black and white. The added colour contrast creates some subject separation from a busy back ground.

Here is a serie where I was checking the IRIX 15mm /f2.4 Hyperfocal distance, and at /f11 the hyperfocal DOF is huge and really close to the camera (0,68m), that makes things easy !
