It's the first lens I bought to supplement the Kit lens from my K20D, and since then I've used this lens with all my bodies on a regular basis.
It's an incredible Macro lens and back in the days I've shot a ton of portrait and product stuff with this lens and my K20D, only later did I realised it was too clinical for portrait.
But I was living in West Africa where Pentax lenses were super difficult to find so when I found this Tamron 90mm I was in heaven.

Yesterday, walking around the streets I shot a Shiba Inu dog with this lens, wonderful dog by the way !

Happy days ahead AWSCREO !
Indeed! Finally some sun showed its face, so hopefully it'll get warmer from there on can't wait for summer nights for stars, and some exploration into a new area of macro photography for me)

Here's a couple with the DA10-17 at roughly 14-15mm.

Cropped to 5x4, mainly on the left side.

Outstanding Detail

I'm never ceased to be amazed, as to just how much detail is possible with a K1 and my "Femme Fatale".

Another from last week's trip to the Bighorn river, fishing by day, shooting the milky way by night. Please pardon the cross post from the Irix Lens club thread.
This old cabin is a landmark near the "3 mile" access point of the famous trout fishing tailwater. I spent several chilly hours with owls and coyotes trying to get this right.
K1 and Irix Blackstone 15 mm set at the infinity notch. Some modest light painting of the cabin, about six 25 second shots stacked in Sequator.

Wonderful, I can't wait to try some MW shot next week, not the best part of the moon phase but Ill see how it goes and it will make practice anyway.

Shiba Inu = Shiba dog. Shiba inu dog = shiba dog dog.

Sorry, just know enough Japanese to be dangerous.

Ha !
Ok gotcha mate.
That's the name the owner gave me when I asked for what dog species that was.
I stand corrected.
