Beautiful images. They make me want to go back to Scotland and spend more time inland. Cannot post any images from our short visit on this thread, the K1 didn't exist at the time.

Eric, thank you for your comment, and I have to say I prefer the B&W version of the old truck.
Hattifnatt, thank you for the kind words, and your opinion just like some of the others means a great deal to me.
johnc, fascinating structures but I must note, your image capturing is excellent, very fine indeed.
Frederic, you certainly are sporting some mighty nice shots with that Tamron 90 macro.
DimC, you & Frederic are making me jealous with those Tamron macro photos, guess I have to get going with the old 645 A 120/4 macro to give you folks some competition...
gaweidert, very nice spring flower series.
Best Regards, Bob

Thank you, that's very kind. The brochs are absolutely awesome. I went along to visit not really knowing what to expect, since they are not covered well online, but they were fascinating. And yes - they are from the iron age - they are thought to have been used to defend the settlement against marauders and visitors looking to loot and pillage!

Here's three more views of the brochs: Dun Troddan in 15-30 Pano:

Dun Telve view 24-70, and 15-30 respectively:

As you can see, the weather sealing was worth every penny here!

Anyone wondering what happened to the rest of the broch structures, it is thought that the stones were reused for other local buildings, including the 18th century 'Bernera Barracks' nearby (Again, 24-70, then the last two 15-30):

John
I'm a big fan of you photos John, I especially like your color tones.

Just looking up, Franc, DimC, Jean, Cosimo, LeRolls, what could be a more better set of images to display the K-1/K-1 II's capabilities?

Thank you for the encouragement. Sometimes this photo stuff feels like an uphill struggle, especially when seeing some of the beautiful work in this thread.

I actually am finding colour on K-1 a little more difficult than K-3, can't help but feel some setting is wrong somewhere in Lightroom or something. It's something I am working on, so DimC, your comment is appreciated.

On a similar note, here is how yesterday ended!

Don't kid me. That first image was staged by the car maker.

I plucked a few buds when we had our walk with Tralee yesterday, then imaged-stacked them in the studio with the K1 and FA 100mm macro. Two of the four I did posted below.
