How do you tell when it's focused ?
When you are shooting wide open with this Lomography lens, it is hard to get in real focus what you are targeting ... But that is the point, if you are shooting wide open it is because you want to get soft images ... Using higher f`s than 4 gives very sharp images within this lens.

More from yesterday's efforts at the botanical garden ... I switched lenses to another recently acquired oldie ... a Fujinon 55/2.2 shot wide open and at or near MFD. First image is a re-take ...

Love the first and the last especially!

While waiting to get a picture of a wild pine marten on Wednesday evening, there was a quick sun-shower from my viewing point.

I was too scared the pine marten would appear to change the lens, but I quickly grabbed this pano with the 150-450 while keeping one eye on the 'target area'

PS I did manage to capture the pine marten, although given the darkness, and how quickly he/she was moving, the photos were nothing to write home about!

Another nice evening in Gairloch, with the D-FA 70-200 this time.

John

Pasque flowers that have opened in the garden within the past week. A three-file stack, but it didn't turn out quite as I hoped.

Although I've had a lot of issues with my copy (copies) of the lens, I still want to make it work for me as I really enjoy what it can do..

That DA70 shot has me re-thinking my quest for the FA77 so, is that cropped much even though you said FF mode? Did you have to slide the vignette sliders to brighten corners at f3.2? Is it different wide open?
"Squirrel Mode" HAH! Ok, Frederic, that was totally awesome!

First shot is out of this world! Are you using extension tubes? Or that lens has that short of a focus distance?
