I’m also drooling over FA*85...and many other lenses, but meanwhile my FA 77 will do. bokeh is not as nice as with 85, and also that little a bit more tighter Fov gives nice result for portraits. still FA 77 is not slouch.

CIF has the same issue that the Focus Confirmation has, that is it fires as SOON as you get the focus confirmation, which for some DoF is just too soon. That is if I understand all this correctly. This pic might better explain what I mean;

So CIF might be useful if the stop down is sufficient, but wide open I have my reservations slightly. Also the speed of which you turn the focus ring might also factor in, a bit faster of a rotation might mean it fires a little later, resulting in a sharper image perhaps than rotating super slow...

Aye it was too cauld and windy to be mucking about with this long exposure nonsense today!
(this was also an excuse to test a new cpl I got this week, tho I prolly broke all the cardinal rules with stacking numerous ND filters ontop lol

I once arrived there, about 1985, just in time to see a C130 painted grey flying below cliff top in that valley.

I recently took a trip to the state of Victoria ( Australia ). Got a few pics out of it that I rather enjoy. First pic taken with the DA 15mm SMC ( heavily cropped ), second with the Samyang 20mm, and the third with the Sammy 24mm. Taken on the coast around the 12 Apostles National Park.

And another few from the trip. The first was taken on Wreck Beach with the DFA 28-105 using a Hoya ND filter, the second was a sunrise from Mt Buffalo over the smoky valley, again using the DFA 28-105, and the third was taken at sunset from a vantage point on the Great Ocean Walk called Slippery Point using the Samyang 14mm - sometimes what is happening on the opposite horizon is more interesting than the main event.

+1 on that. As for the last image, don't for a moment think you will ever get an opportunity to photograph a sky such as that again. OIAL conditions, and you captured it perfectly.
