Perfect Crescent

Thought the light was to improve dramatically... but hope was short lived so still at 8000 iso.

What appears at first glance, to be a one bird fast flight sequence... was actually four birds in one shot, flying in different directions.

A potential air traffic control nightmare in the making and I'm also still undecided on the best presentation of this image... landscape or portrait.

The first one in B&W is great even with the "pushed" process... Love it.

In color... With DarkTable. The software improved a lot since last year... A very good software for K-1 MKII files...
The difficulty to take the shots is purely technical. No monopod, the lens weighs 4Kg, the camera with the grip 1,3Kg, hand held, manual focus. I am not so young any more..

Adam Peaty , K-1 (MKII), Leica Apo-Telyt-R Modular 280/2.8 & Apo-Extender-X1.4, W.0. Manual Focus.

I should have included this photo in my previous post, Sao Paulo people. The camera is a Pentax K1000.

How did you adapt the Leica lens to the K1II? I looked it up, it's a beast!
And the picture is very good.

... It's very very heavy. I have to take care of my back when I shoot...

I am a former competitive breakstroke swimmer, Adam was not born at that time...
I still swim 15 kms a week but for my pleasure, 36bpm at 52...
This year, I didn't ask for a photo accreditation, so I wasn't properly placed for shooting...
But very happy for watching the new phenomenon of breakstroke as Kitajima Kosuke ten years ago...

Nice to see the color version. This lens seems really great ...despite being heavy !

You’ve got a 36bpm heartbeat? Wow....impressive.

'Girls from Ipanema' -- sometimes it's futile to resist the obvious. The picture was snapped a hundred feet or so from the statue of Jobim and a couple of blocks from the restaurant where he wrote the song.

Sexy but never overboard, as usual.
I like a lot thr lighting in the second one... open shadow and slightly back-lit golden hair, topped off by some nice creamy bokeh...

Makes for an interesting sky though … like it. Ever get near Copper ?.
I thought so too. Might as well take advantage of it!
I've skied Copper a couple of times but don't get over to the I-70 corridor much. Too busy!
