Drove about 3300km from Indianapolis to Quebec city on a family trip: I was humbled by this view:
15mm 2 shot Pano: f/16 1/60th (Will post a couple of versions as the light went from Golden to blue)

Hard to believe that any other version of that image could be better.

garden photos

Paid a visit to my neighbors garden, plan to return with the old 645 macro on a less windy day.
Eric, the 2nd shot is centered as some folks prefer: the 3rd shot is what I prefer, therefore that should tell you which of your photos I like more..., sorry about the late response.

Best Regards, Bob

There was a movie years back, sorry I cannot remember the title, about an aging actor's relationship with a young woman assigned to "keep him in line." At one point he remarks, and I will not try to remember the exact words, that almost all men regard a naked young woman as the most beautiful object n the world. But it takes very little to cross from "beautiful" to "sleazy." I find the vast majority of LeRolls images beautiful, but every now and then one of them makes me wince.
Didn't know that you considered some of my images to be "sleazy" or that they made you wince. Might have to think twice about sharing my work I guess.

There are people with different approaches I believe. I don’t find any of your shots ”sleazy”. But that is me. I like flower pictures too, but it is great to have other kind of pictures too. Otherwise it will make me ’yawn” more..but then again, it is just me.

I consider your images more tasteful than risque, and whilst they clearly aim to convey the beauty of your subjects the work is professionally done and I don't consider them sleazy at all. And whilst I'd be disappointed if you felt you couldn't share your images here anymore, I'd respect your decision if that's what you choose to do.

I haven't found any of these photos anything but art. The human body is awesome, clothed, naked, all the stuff in between. I'm curious if you dislike the image, or are projecting how you think the model should feel. Is it a gesture the model is making, choice of clothing you dislike or is it disagreeing with an idea of objectifying something? In an art forum, I would expect honest and direct critique not casual comments as the latter comes across as prudish opinion rather than critique of the work. If anything we could start a mature, own work only thread.
I personally detest a very American mindset of be embarrassed, insecure and hide the human body while being ashamed of enjoying it.
I understand you may not be saying this, but short comments without constructive feedback seem less like critique and more like personal discomfort of the subject.

LeRolls, If you decide you should stop sharing here, please consider instead moving to a mature themed k-1 image thread.. We could call it, "Post your K-xxx photos here" :-)
Now I want to start that thread, for the pun alone..

These aren't great photos, but I thought I would share them anyway. Yesterday morning I looked out my back window to see a mother bear and her year old cub wandering around my backyard investigating my peach tree and garden. Unfortunately, the longest lens I had handy was the DFA 100 macro which is definitely not a "bear catching" lens, but I made do with it. My wife had the DFA 70-200 in a bag somewhere for an upcoming wedding, but if they come back I'll try to use that (I'd rather they didn't come back -- my garden is pretty happy without bears in it).

Cub.

Once again, I apologize for the quality of the photos, but they are what they are.
