Here you go guys, you decide which version is better:

Quebec City: Shot from the plains of Abraham: A series of shots from the same location over roughly an hour, going from Golden to Blue hour. The time period was 8:37pm to 9:43pm.

Please allow a little bit of artistic latitude in processing, the aim was not to do a scientific test, rather optimize the look for each tone of light. Also since this these are 2 shot pano's, some distortion will occur between shots as each was processed separately.

Hope you guys like it.

8:37pm

8:52pm

8:59pm

9:30pm

9:39pm

9:43pm

All are great, but 9:39 one stands out to me. Real sense of time in that shot, you can see some glimpses of the sun that color the horizon beautifully

Here's M31 with the K1 in crop mode at 731mm focal length. I need to fine tune collimation and shorten the focuser drawtube. This was only 24 minutes of exposure through hazy conditions.

Wow... those are special.
I can't pick a favorite one, every single one of the three appeals me for a different reason (#1 colors, #2 interesting case of mimicry, #3 composition)

I'm going with 9:30... I like the balance better.
All are great though.

We've posted only a bit over 73% of the number of posts needed for someone to get a free K1, but almost 77% of the month is gone (23/30) and at my location, 1/4 of today is gone. We need to post vigorously, excessively for just one week. Do it! I don't need the camera, but I'd sure like to see someone get it.

Hope LeRolls does a post-storm.

OK, I'll do it as soon as I can!
