Textile Petroglyph Perry Mesa

K-1 FDA 24-70 Unusual petroglyph depicting a textile. These are not unheard of but not common like deer etc.

So what are those two rocks behind it called?

Sorry... I couldn't resist

My wife and I did a five-week course on Native American History and Literature around the Four Corners area about 20 years ago.

We had a ton of petroglyphs... most shot on Agfachrome 100 with a PZ-20, but a few with a Yashicamat...

And I think I have a clone of your avatar photo from Chaco...

That is a pretty little American vignette. The sort of scene we all think we might see traveling about this country.

Graffiti despoiling a little bit of Utah. Thoughtless people, or better, people who think only of themselves.

Utah - Utah - Utah. Until the contests ends, you'll see a good deal of it on this thread.

I also tried that last image I posted with some foreground interest. No, I did not talk to her - - she was NOT using Pentax.

Nighthawk

This little girl sat faithfully on her egg and then baby for almost three weeks. They nest on the bare ground with no nest material. Almost impossible to see unless you come close to stepping on them. K-1 150-450.

I don't like your composition, the shot is poorly framed. The background spoils it !

Wish you could have heard the roar at my photo club when that image came up after I pontificated with advice about finding unique foreground material to provide an alternate, secondary center of interest.

I sense the combined influence of LeRolls and Kerrowdown creeping into your work...

Thanks, I had a tough time framing it right. There is a very ugly overheard walk way above and another building to the left that needs some TLC. That little alley is part of a current urban renewal project I hope can continue.
