That really shows how wide a cat can open its mouth, the jaw down at just about a right angle to the upper teeth. It's likely that the extinct saber-tooth cats could swing down the jaw even more.

Very beautiful photo. I really like the frame and the atmosphere of tranquility it conveys...
Thank you, it was a very quiet and beautiful morning yesterday.

I love orange

A slightly different view.

Rondec, would I be able to process a pixel shift shot in LR or will I need to use something different ?
Eric, same question to you since I think you did some PS shots recently.
When I get the time I will have to look at the Pixel Shift thread and surely learn from that. Just seems to be way to busy of a summer & man the time goes by so quickly. Mighty glad this forum is here, helps take my mind off of things, sorta like a stress reducer.

Best Regards, Bob

Wow, that is a LOT of leaves for a PS shot to not have something moving, heh. Nice! I love the low angle on the road bed, lots of texture.

Hi Bobby - Nice lily! With the lens I recently began to covet too... cropped much to fill the frame??? Just curious.

As to your question...My PhotoShop and ACR combo are a bit long in the tooth (CC 2015) for Pixel Shift so when I do a Pixel Shift, I switch over to DCU (which I absolutely HATE with a passion, which prolly keeps me from doing Pixel Shift more often...)
I haven't followed the current trends for what is the best alternative processing software recently for Pixel Shift, and also look forward to Vincent's reply as to what he likes, because it seems to be working quite well.

I would normally bin a shot like this, I was trying to get some motion blur and went a bit too far... ended up liking something about it enough to post, at least during our contest month, heh heh.

I dunno, something painterly about the wing pattern streaking along. I'd like it more if the foreground bloom was tack sharp, or maybe if the butterfly's head was stationary enough to be sharp, with just the wings making that pattern.

I almost achieved my goal on this one, close, but no stogie... I'd have preferred him coming at me that going away, but hard to be choosy with these flighty things.

So I cranked the shutter speed back up and got this one.
I like how the right flutterby appears to turn his head and see me and hit the air brakes... I found the expression comical, or maybe I have an over-active imagination.

I know you said the frustration was high and the keeper ratio low with the Samyang 85mm F1.4, but, I would assert that it's been worth the effort! I really like what you've been posting.

Even areas between the parks and monuments in Utah are scenic, although this may be within the Bear's Ears or Grand Escalante boundaries, or were when we visited.
It is called Valley of the Gods and is within Bears Ears.

Just do it, resistance is futile

Thank you for your comments, glad to know I'm contributing to your LBA......

My only regret, is not getting it sooner, my wife finely convinced me to get it - she's wonderful !! My biggest concern was having to use a tripod (though I do carry one) all the time with it, which would really hamper my style. But the weight is very manageable while hand holding it and seldom use a tripod. But do need to keep shutter speed at least 1/250 and a solid stance for best results.
