Rainy day here, so I setup the softbox with YN560IV and the K1+77ltd

The one pot stew is always a great go to on the weekends.
Easy to make and all the goodness of the vegetables hidden from the little picky eaters in the house.

Stunning. I prefer studio personally, prefer to have full control over all the elements.[COLOR="Silver"]
I have a few friends who also prefer studio work but I'm really only interested if I feel like I can do something more than just the average portrait shot. Plus I like being outdoors and having adventures.

That indoor shot is just gorgeous. A beautiful picture of a beautiful model.
Thanks

This is very unique in the setup. I like it.
Much appreciated.

Mate, this is excellent work and a testimony of your skills. The balance with the light, the focus and bokeh combine nicely to take your image back to a style reminiscent of some of the late 60's early 70's fashion photos. Having said this though I don't think it's a blind copy of images from that era as it has a more sophisticated air to it.. Well worth a thumbs up.

Anyone who hasn't done so already I highly recommend viewing this image in Flickr by clicking on the photo then pressing L and F11.

Something I really do like about some of those older studio style fashion shots is the mood and atmosphere they evoke. I appreciate your well thought out take on my work.

LeRolls, fine work as usual, grateful for your statements regarding setup.
Happy to oblige. I thought the explanation was almost as interesting as the image.

Who says Pentax doesn't have good AF-C?
I saw something out of the corner of my eye, swung around, pointed the camera, immediately got focus, and fired off 3 shots. It was all over before you could say... :-)
The birds are female Nankeen Kestrels.
K-1, DFA 150-450 + 1.4x TC, handheld. See exif for shot details.

Cheers,
Terry

A few from my back yard today. Two shots of a male King Parrot, and one of the pair of Rainbow Lorikeets that beat the Galahs to the nesting hollow in the gum tree. K1II with Sigma 500 f4.5 APO DG EX, Sigma 1.4x TC, Metx 58AF-2 flash and Better Beamer FX3.

Great shots! And what comes to pentax AF issues..they are gone. Recent bodyes, atleast K-1 is really good. Especially with great new lenses. I’v noticed the same with my 70-200. Point and shoot, in the way. Especially if you know quirks and all of that from the past. Really happy, but just to get that little extra with upgrade.. maybe. K-1 is great already.

Bit easier, wasn't it, Dave, when people worked 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, train Thursday evening, play Saturday.

On the other hand, if you are one of the 650 or so best footy players in the country, you're making a living from what you love, no need to be a plumber's apprentice or a bank teller.

Times have changed, for sure.

Awesome cedar waxwing shots!
Curious why the exif says "Focal Length 630.0mm (35mm equivalent: 630mm)" ? Were you in Crop Mode with that coveted HD FA150-450mm??

Looks great! Nice food shot.
I've got a london broil slow cooking for later as we speak. Gotta keep those picky eaters well nourished! No pink slime nuggets, right?

This cedar waxwing cleaned out some spider webs from the berry bush.

Congrats on the new Mk II ! You are off to a nice start, looking forward to more from you.
Was wondering how much you had to crop with a 105mm...? I usually shoot our kite boarder's with my 300mm or 400mm, and I still have to crop.
