Two pixelshifted panorama shots (4-5 frames per shot) of the Empress Falls in the Blue Mountains. Both shots take with the K-1, HD DA 35/2.8 Macro with a CPL.

Its nice to see what this lens can do in the right hands.

I'm still learning it's quirks, but I think it's going to be a keeper in my toolkit.

I dunno why but these pelican's antics always make me smile.

Excellent shots there mister tatorman, looks to me like you have that focus dialed in pretty good. Happy to see you have that lens...am certain you will be happy using it.

Thanks Floyd. Out of all the HD DA Limited lenses I've tried (15 and 21) this is by far my favourite, it's made infinitely more enjoyable seeing as I can get away with using it on the full frame K-1 body without needing to be in crop mode! It can add extra dynamic and dof to shots that my KP might stuggle with, such as this shot;

The green plant here was not that high off the ground, with crop there wouldn't be quite the same sense of depth and punch. I love that I can use it on both cameras, currently I am really trying to see how far I can push it on the K-1 before getting into trouble. I thought the full frame panorama pixel shift of the waterfall previously linked would be a big nono, I thought the mild vignetting between the frames (and overlapping) would be an issue, in reality with subject matter like that it wasn't an issue at all!

I should test sky done in this fashion, I bet the strong blue sky would showup the vignetting stitch...

Milky-way from the top of the Edelweisspitze, 2572m above sea level, Grossglockner area,, Austrian Alps. Good darkness allowing to easily see the milkyway with bare yes. Tricky weather conditions with clouds moving around, eventually clearing at times. Captured at 0:25 a.m with DFA15-30 at about 20mm f/2 and K1 in bulb mode with astro-tracer triggered with IR remote + 3s delay, 120s exposure at iso 1600, out of camera JPEG with slight increase of image contrast.
