Thank you !

No, I do NOT want this lens. It's too big. It's too heavy. It's expensive. I really don't NEED it. Anyone got another excuse?

That is a lovely picture of your wife - I hope she was happy with it.
Thanks I'll pass that message on, and yeah she's pretty content with it (though she knows I can do better!). The late arvo shooting was actually a failed experiment to doing something like what I think Chris had done with his two shelias on the beach. Namely flash gel work which I couldn't get to work (but know better now).

Handheld pano with the new DFA*50. This is now my all time favourite lens.

I went hiking with the K-1 and the 50. No extra camera bag, just the camera over the shoulder and a backpack with food on my back. Surprise! I didn't pull out my phone once for photos. It was easier to just use the camera and the images are so much better.

42 stitched exposures in 3 rows, f/8 and 1/60sec. Approx. 19500x12500 should be 242 MP if I calculated correctly...?

The details are impressive considering it was hand held at 1/60 to 1/100 standing on a small wobbly iron bridge built in 1880.
Amazing!

Marvellous, yes I am debating to sell one of my children for this lens.
...
I'm selling 3 lenses for this one (FA 43, FA20-35, DA*55). The first two are gone already and the *55 is on it's way out. Not that they are bad lenses, but I don't like to have too many. It's hard to let the 55 go but it makes no sense. I enjoy to have less but good lenses and actually use them as much as possible. My mission is to reduce to 3 zooms and 3 primes.

That is just amazing. Took quite a while to open the full-size image, but definitely worth it. Incredible detail.

It's ugly (you can't proof the opposite ), it has yet another filter diameter and afaik it doesn't work on older bodies like my K-5iis (KAF4). Does that help?

Golf Link Lookout

The Pool of Siloam

Both shot with the Pentax-A 24/2.8, pixelshifted. The lookout image has had a DxO Filmpack5 filter used, whereas the waterfall shot just some Topaz treatment.

Nice shots but you need to use that beautiful model of yours for more of your work.

Another one minus the stairs... not sure if you can tell by the still water, but it was a HOT and humid day... and the mosquito's were brutal, even with Deep Woods Off. I would have stuck around and taken some pixel shifts with my tripod, but I was motivated to keep moving.

On of the last shot's I took with the Tamron 400mm F4 before I just sold it to buy the 150-450mm... Happy trails old friend, I hope the forum member who got it will enjoy it as much as I did and we see some posts soon.

Don't remember the temp but I'm pretty sure I just had it in AWB at the time. No gels and yes the Mag Bounce.

Thanks BTW!

Thanks Eric . I might just have to do another version with further editing. I didnīt even think of it . We were shooting some clothing line shots and took that portrait just for kicks. A bit difficult to nail focus on the eye with her wearing glasses.. but did it .

Bokeh... Courtesy Of Her Majesty

This what happens in times of boredom when wildlife fails to cooperate... when herself "HM The Queen" (SMC Pentax 500mm F4.5) is "mounted" and good to go...
