A couple of shots form my Chicago trip from yesterday.

#1 Missed opportunity.... long story. My K1 Mode dial is not working, stuck in M mode. I was reading the forums and someone said reset camera settings (didnt work)... that set my photos to jpeg only with no raw :-( . so I have NO raw for this amazing opportunity... Just the jpeg.... but its a K1 jpeg :-)

Edit: Tried the following, nothing worked. Dial lock unlock, Reset Camera settings, reseat lens, hard restart with battery drop during camera on...

#2 Took this the next day. It was a series of 8 shots that I averaged into 1 using the stack mode = mean. I also changed the left side of the frame a bit . Chose a very different feel for this one. Wanted something serene after the dark one from the night before with the storm

Are you sure it's proper stuck and not just the lock lever slid into action? I literally, last week (after owning the K-1 over a year or summin), realised there is a lock mechanism for the mode dial

The Turkey Vultures are collecting for the Kokanee spawn, a land locked salmon that we have in Kootenay Lake. I'm not sure what the hawk is, but am pleased that I got the one flying towards me.

The Deneb region from NGC 7000 to IC 1318. I used the Samyang 135 f/2 that I bought in the marketplace here. I should have imaged this before the moon came up last night, but I didn't, so lost some detail. 34x 2 minutes, ISO 800, some cropping from stacking around the edges.

Send back to Pentax for a replacement dial. It is a fairly common break for the 1st generation K1. I had mine replaced too.
