Eric, interesting for sure. The first shot I favor by a large margin, simply because it concentrates the attention to the center stone with plants. I like that photo a lot. The second shot has such great definition and is most likely the kind of photo I would take, but it certainly does not talk to me like the first photo. Amazing how a difference in focus can make a scene & subject so much more pleasing to the eye of the beholder. Sorta like portrait effect applied to outdoor subjects.
Best Regards, Bob

You certainly have a beautiful view from your estate.

Frederic, I gave you a like for that set namely for the third shot, the semi bridge along the cliff. Interesting structure & nice capture and cute little Topaz star.

Really cool shot of Rio & Ripley. Some dog photos put a smile on my face, that one sure does.

I've just acquired this Carl Zeiss TESSAR 50mm/ f2.8 M42 lens. Will be better suited to a narrower aperture, but this was my first shot with it this evening.

K-1 (1) and Sigma 50-500mm DG OS HSM.

Have to say whereas the 150-450mm seems to perform better on the K-3II this Sigma is turning out to be a great match for the K-1.

This looks like a postcard to me... like a place you would want to share with your friends that you had been there, and had seen that sky.
Very nice.

Thanks Bobby, me too, I like the way the FA77 can isolate the subject, while still making the background interesting, yet not distracting. Heck, at F2.2 or wider, you could have soda cans, cig butts and candy wrappers all over the background and just melt them away, though it makes me crazy that we have to do that sometimes.

Hope your farm projects will be done soon (I know, they NEVER are really done, but, at least done enough to take a break) and you can relax for some pics before the snows bury all your hard work.
