You did well! I wonder if you could push even lower, tried a monopod yet? A monopod can be a pleasant walking stick too, for those times you cbb with fully tripodding up. If you know your location and what the flow will be like then getting those 5 second exposures is just overkill. I wonder how low you might be able to go with a monopod if you're managing 1/5 handheld!

This should be a challenge
I actually handheld at 0.3 seconds with decent results, at least good enough for me, particularly since this was shot at 45mm.

One place to look at glass bottle photographs is advertisements in expensive glossy magazines and the like, not an easy subject at all, and many ways to tackle it.
I'm no expert but have had the fortune of using studios in the past with light tables.. Not sure what site is best to look at now.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

More or less SOOC shot... something very foreboding about this scene in terms of the weather.

Thanks for that!

This shot was really just about me testing my RF60x with a AF360FGZII (without an additional Cactus V6ii acting as a Rx unit). I also didn't have a softbox so made do with a umbrella and magsphere (which you can clearly see in the catchlight). So I messed up in a variety of ways, you can see the blue sky and clouds on the bottle as I shot this in the arvo on my verandah ie poor 'studio' conditions indeed
Still it's an ok shot, but I have a long way to go, I look forward to reading those links, I got gifted some more links when I posted this on a Pentax FB forum, yay... homework for Bruce
