From a short visit to the Harriot Hollister State Recreation Area south of Rochester, NY. The lake is called Honeoye (hun ee oye). One of the minor Finger lakes. About 4.5 miles (7.2km) long. Pretty shallow too. Average depth of about 16 feet (5 meters) with a maximum depth of 30 feet (9.1 meters). The Finger Lakes are a gift of the last Ice Age. In the second photo you can see the city of Rochester on the left horizon. It is about 34 miles (55 km) north of the park. This vantage point is about 1,000 feet (335 meters) above the lake.

The rest are just shots about the park. I used my K1-II with the D FA 28-105 lens.

Juvenile Bald Eagle, and Red Shafted Flicker. The second shot is iso 40000. Which I thought would be impossible. I was getting worse than this with my Olympus 410 at 400 iso.
