My wife and I went to the final home football game for Furman University this past weekend. As we were leaving I took a couple of shots of the lake and belltower. Then we heard a mockingbird and after a little searching I was able to find him and get a few shots. All with the K1 and Sigma 50-500.

One of the more fun things I find with using a fast lens like the FA77 on FF is selective subject focus, and it doesn't even have to be wide open with the longer focal length.

First photo with the D FA* 50mm f1.4

Held out as long as I could, but after seeing so many wonderful photos taken with this lens....it was time.
Disclaimer: My wife wants it known that I took photo after she'd been working all day outdoors fixing peoples phone lines & DSL modems (works for Centurylink), was very tired and just wanted to get her work boots off.....

Would love to try out the 50 f 1.4 sometime. Good photo, and understandably your model does not appear prepared to tolerate very much foolishness.

D FA* 50mm, processed in-camera - Went to a park near my workplace to try the new lens out some more. Can see why it's so well liked.

Thanks. I rather lucked out on the sunset that evening. Best sunset we've had around these parts in several years.

Another shot from even later in the evening shot with the F 17-28, 30 second exposure:
