Last night with the K-1ii & 15-30. This is less than a mile from my house and often a good quick spot if it looks like the light might do something interesting at short notice.

K-1 and DA*200
These guys were hungry enough they let me walk up pretty close. 200 on a K-1 just ins't very long, but today it was long enough.

Chickadee

Downey Woodpecker

Tess has been telling me, the woods are full of Pine Siskins up on the ridge. Today a group made it down to the feeders.

I took a pic of the Flame and Horsehead region last night. Froze too. 731mm focal length mak-newt that I can't get the friggin' collimation dead on with which is why the weird diffraction spikes. Also a crop of M33 from the same setup.

My wife reluctantly agreed to evacuate the day the storm made landfall. When we returned, we found that the basement and master suite were dry so we could salvage a lot. The kitchen, great room, and bedrooms upstairs were destroyed. Homeowners insurance paid the policy limits and we have found another house to replace the one we lost.
Wow... glad to hear everyone survived, homes can be rebuilt, people not so much. Cool shots too by the way!

Hi Botanizer

Glad to hear your all right.
Kitchen looks great with the new skylight
A very nice overlook or the water.
Are you going to rebuild on the same block or once bitten try somewhere else ?

incredible! Can you share your process/equipment? I'd like to give deep space photography a poke as well, the first image is mind-blowing.

Most sorry for your loss. Good that the insurance covered enough to have another home. Wish you the best of luck to adjust to such a devastating change.
Best Regards, Bob
