incredible! Can you share your process/equipment? I'd like to give deep space photography a poke as well, the first image is mind-blowing.
Sure, it was the K1 attached to an Explore Scientific David Levy Comet Hunter mounted to an iOptron IEQ45 with autoguiding, dithering, and intervalometer control viable an MGEN II and 50mm Astromania guide scope. I took 30x 180 second exposures, then 20 dark frames, 10 flat frames, and 50 bias frames and stacked them in Deep Sky Stacker 4.1.1, then did some curves, levels, noise reduction, contrast, and saturation in Photoshop CS6.

Pumpkin views

This handsome pumpkin fellow grew in our flower beds this summer alongside the zinnias, the daisies, the dahlias, and all the rest.

That's a nicely symmetrical, near spherical pumpkin.

Thank you very much for recognizing the physical and aesthetic qualities of this handsome pumpkin. We are planning to continue photographing this excellent exemplar of the gourd family given the absence of any blossoms in our garden. I will personally protect him during this danger-filled holiday season from the ravages of those who prefer pumpkin pie over the option of keeping pumpkins intact and unviolated.

Something the FA77 isn't known for, action shots & macro, so why not do both?

Oof, that's quite a bit of cash to spend will take me some time to save up for all that gear. Is there an entry model I can get good results with? Would ioptron skytracker work with k-1 and a small telescope?

Report from a pond ...

A couple of a couple ducks gather to have a small duck talk ...

1. DFA150-450@450, 688mm FF equivalent (Apple Preview says)

After some time it happens. One of the guys presses ahead - always the same ...

2. DFA150-450@450

... and another follows and calls "Come on girls - hurry up, let's discover the world!". Damage is done done done. No more nice relaxed conversation.

3. DFA150-450@450

"Hm, what do you think about it?", this one asks ...

4. DFA150-450@450

Pictures captured with K-1 and DFA150-450 - on monopod.

Mr. Pumpkin goes to Walmart.

Mr. Pumpkin goes to Walmart. Folks, being a pumpkin photographer is not all fun and games. While I was taking my photos, one of those double-wide Walmart shoppers passed by and said in a loud voice: "Now isn't that stupid! Now I have seen every thing." I did not respond, just put Mr. Pumpkin back in the car and sort of slinked away.

Hi Ivan

Was it a hot summer there or have you contracted gourditis.
But be vigilant and watch for men in white coats....please....
