Wonderful images! Sad to see you go. In some ways I am in a similar boat. My beloved 85mm has broken and I have been given a Sony A7III so I will most likely be doing most of my new stuff on that system (amazing AF, burst rate, and eye AF that can't be beat). I have a ton of unedited K-1 shots that I will be working through so I will still be posting fairly regularly for the time being. I will also most likely be picking up a Fujifilm X-T3 in the near future.

Agreed! We have plans to shoot again around Thanksgiving.

Some older shots of Cassidy that I finally got around to.

Nice flare in the photo.

Hi Tim and LeRolls: I am humbled.

I bought myself a used A7r3, primarily due to the limited lens selection on the newer k mount offerings. The lenses I lusted for were the Sigma arts. I just ordered the 20mm f1.4 and 135mm f1.8 and with eye AF even an amateur like me might get a few portraits in focus. I admire guys who can work magic with older classic lens... I am horrible at it.

I already miss the top dials on the K1.

Tim I sometimes post on Fb under the account name anahemlightcapture.
Well, best of luck man. With your skills you'll make those sing for you Hopefully K-mount will slowly build the whole system out, i'm also lusting to certain lenses, but so far my kit works for me.
I honestly was expecting thousands upon thousands of followers on your flickr, that's why I asked about other platforms)

Dear Friends,

Its with a heavy heart that I bid you guys adieu (for some time). I loved my time here, unfortunately I sold my beloved K1 and wont be posting much here (till I buy another K1...).

I leave you with some of my favorite K1 shots, hope you like them and thank you ALL for your support and encouragement.

Kind regards,

Thank you ALL !

Arif, no doubt you will be missed by many of the members here. You have a superior eye for scenes and a talent for adding just the right accents. Most certainly you will do well with what ever image gathering gear you choose. I have enjoyed all of the photos you have posted and on occasion I will view your work on flickr. Wish you the best, and happy shooting

Best Regards, Bob

You should definitely start an IG account. I think your images would do well on that platform. Honestly, I get all my clients and business from that platform. I purchased the Sony 85mm 1.8 for portraiture on the A7III and I have to say that is very sharp even at 1.8 and coupled with eye AF is quite the killer combo. I have heard nothing but bad things about the Sigma lenses for the Sony system. My understanding is that they basically just threw on an adapter at the end of the lens and called it a day. No real retooling or re-engineering of the lenses for system optimization at all. The reviews have stated very inconsistent/unreliable AF performance. Plus the lenses are huge.

I also got the 85 f1.8. Its so light and sharp. The sigmas 20 was for astro and aurora capture. Only the 135 1.8 is for portraits. I am a sucker for melty bokeh. Lets see how well it works.

Bob, thanks for the kind words!
