With the DFA*50 and Pixelshift comes a trade-off: It takes a lot of time to remove even more tiny dust spots in post.

As they should! Congratulate your son on his fine composition.

This series has been so well executed. I am inspired to take some photos of my watches now, I don't think they are as box fresh as these, but maybe by the time I have cloned out every tiny scratch and dust particle they will look passable!

Absolutely. I was all ready to sell mine this week, offset the cost of DFA*50.. Might get triggered to hold onto it!

It is a tough decision. I also planned to sell my DA*55. I have the new D FA 50 f1.4 and it is as good ad everyone says but I decided to keep the DA*55 because it is so much more portable. I may eventually relent and let it go but for now I have two outstanding 1.4 fiftyish lenses which I can use in different situations. Maybe too much luxury!

If cakes get smaller every year, and what you've pictured is standard for the 40th, mine next year will not support a candle, nor a match, and if I blow at it, it will be gone out the nearest window.

Well, if you don't *have* to sell them, they end up building up. Yes I love the portability of the DA*55, but with A50 1.2 and Revuenon 55-1.2 here on hand too.....it's not really very compelling to keep them all.

No need to decide immediately anyway here, think I will hoard for a bit longer. There's something just very natural about the DA*55 images that I do love.
