Originally posted by normhead Sports is the new religion. But the good thing is, I personally don't have to give them a cent. Well, except for the part where millions went into building the Sky Dome. 570 million in tax payer dollars, then sold to Rogers (a cable TV company) for 31 million. The funny thing is, if someone would come up with a plan to eradicate homelessness and child poverty for 570 million, it would be turned down as way to costly. Welfare for those who can afford $100 seats, paid for by those of us who can't afford to go to the games, or believe the money would be better spent elsewhere.
This is getting waaay off topic, but... heck, I couldn't even afford all the bridge tolls and parking to go to a Yankee's game more than once in a blue moon anymore. The subway is the only real way to go, unless you got C notes to roll up and smoke.
Now I gotta post a pic to make up for the thread drift, heh, sorry folks.
