More Rio

Apologies for spamming the forum with Rio portraits, but having been without my K-1 for two months I have a lot of catching up to do.

K-1 + DFA 50mm 1.4 at 1.4. Plus a couple of flashes

I have three 50mm lenses, F50 F1.7, FA 50 F1.4 and Sigma 50mm F2.8 macro, of the three lenses, FA50 is the least sharp while the Sigma the aperture is not wide enough for shallower depth of field, so the F50 F1.7 is likely the lens I'm using for portrait shoot. I'm drooling over the DFA*50 but the price is on the high side and the lens is heavy and bulky...
This was shot with the F50 F1.7 wide open:

There might be some interest in using the DA*11-18 with the K-1 in FF mode.

Another investigation. Same image shot at 18 and 16 mm. Aperture set most sensitive concerning depth of field - at 2.8 in both shots. Distance adjusted, so perspective slightly different. Handheld, so not exactly the same sector. Usual pp in Capture One Pro.

Bricks & Reflexion.

I guess the well controlled lighting played a role in having those portraits beautifully rendered.
