Spring is here

The evening grosbeaks have not headed up to Normheads neck of the woods yet, they are still here cleaning out the feeders. Those Canadian birds certainly have a big appetite. But at least they gave me some decent poses. And I feel compelled to post a squirrel shot for the old Rupert, I mean someone has to offset the weird moon shots that somebody keeps posting...
Best Regards, Bob

Our flock of 20 Evening Grosbeaks that were here all winter were run off by my arriving flock of 30 or 40 grackles 3 days ago and I haven't seen them since. Maybe yours are keepers.

Taterman, I have really been enjoying your series, fantastic shooting. Soon it will be a wee bit warmer up north here and I hope to get out & about more. Although I have not been shooting or posting much lately I always take out the time to have the pleasure of viewing all the photos posted by folks. And I must say there sure have been some terrific captures by many members in such a beautiful variety of types of photographs.

Best Regards, Bob

I sure hope not Norm, the other day I counted 32 of them. How far north do they migrate to?

Did you know that they are called here "Gros Bec" (big beak) and when they are coming back from you, they get better colours...

I'm back with a few shots from Yellowstone this winter. February (plus a little of January and March) was the second coldest and snowiest (?) on record behind 1935. All with the K=1 II and D FA 150-450.
Very nice shots. I like them all! Well done.
