@riseform - Nice catch. These owls are masters of concealment.

Two photos of a nesting swan, and an unrelated photo of a streetcar. The only connecting link: the arrival--finally--of Spring.

signs of spring

Colts foot are the first to give some color to the ground in my area. Spotted this tiny brown snake on my road, it is only about 10mm in diameter.
Best Regards, Bob

A pileated woodpecker happened by. My wife spotted it when she looked out of the kitchen window. Only the second one I have ever seen. K1-II with a D FA 150-450 lens. This is a male, but another showed up but it was not around long enough to see it's gender.

Taken through the dirty glass of the rear door of my garage. Opening the door would have probably scared it off. Cloudy evening so I had it push the ISO to 6,400 to get a usable shutter speed for a handheld shot. These are heavily cropped too. All the all, the camera did a pretty good job. Note to me. CLEAN THE GLASSS!!!!!!

Considering the conditions and that ISO I would say those are terrific shots. All winter they have been around the farm & woods but I have not even a close chance to get a shot like yours, good work.
Best Regards, Bob
