Ahh thanks! Skye is well worth a visit and if the weather plays ball, it's not all about rugged coastline and near vertical hiking trails. Hope you get to visit again and get some sun as well. Here's a couple from the relaxing side of Skye in the nice weather this week. Both D-FA 24-70.John
I'll scrounge out a few images I took on Sky, but I'll have to either cheat to post them here (trip taken long before a K1 was on the drawing board) or put them on another thread and just post that location here.

I put a few pictures from Skye and one of a famous castle on the mainland on the "Photo Sharing Forum" (pull down the "photos" button above to get there). We were on Skye for barely half a day, maybe 5 hours.

However did you manage to order up such a glorious day for your visit? Beautiful image of the home. I like the way you included tulips and the reddish tree at the left.
I don't know how it worked out to be such a nice day, but it was extremely beautiful and the flowers were amazing.

This is a photo of Mulberry Row (their gardens) with the DFA 24-70mm

That first image is stunning. We visited Blackwater a long time ago, back when everyone used film, and we did see some pitcher plants and sundews of a type unfamiliar to me, but nothing to compare.

Everyone says you're 'ripped', JC, but I thought they meant something else!

At first, I thought you were sharing selfie of you when you were younger . Nice boy .

I'm sure I've got a 'six pack' like that, BE, it just has to be found first under the blubber!

The bot (or bottle) fly on something that's pretty rather than disgusting are really good macros. Those insects are not especially discriminating about what they are willing to eat

In the ancient days when my brother went to Paul Smith's College in the Adirondacks he was out hiking and found a pitcher plant with a dead mouse in it.
