D. filiformis with Rose pogonia. You must have done a tour of the panhandle. D. filiformis is miles from pitcher plants.
I'll try to track down the chrome I took of the plant and scan it, but do not hold your breath. There's well over 100,000 chromes and it was not among the New Jersey slides I just went through. Some other trip.
There's an area here where rose pogonia, colopogon and swamp canddles bloom pretty reliably in the Spring. Haven't been there for a while, so thanks for reminding me to go there and look for those lovely little flowers.

You probably saw Drosera tracyi with the pitcher plants.

Only 2 photos, what's up with that, did you run out of film...
Been really enjoying your macro type shots with the DA 55 and the F 50. And I think that I favor the results provided by the F 50. It totally surprises me the quality of those lens for I simply did not consider them to be so good at that type of shooting. Yeah, yeah, your going to tell me it all depends on the person doing the shooting...
Thank you Bob ! Yeah, you know I'm also publishing a film camera and a K-5 shot back from may 2014...

Been taking mostly shots of birds lately and posting on the yard bird thread. Here are some examples...I know...don't need more birds. Hope to get out and shoot something else soon.

Rose-breasted grosbeak trying to hide; cardinal looking back at me; black-throated green warbler male looking for the female; black-throated green warbler female saying I'm up here.

Best Regards, Bob
Superb shots ! The grosbeak is fantastic !

Saguaro Blossoms and Rattlesnakes

That time of year for cactus blossoms and snakes. Saw three Western Diamondbacks in 45 minutes. Two of them allowed me to photograph them, but the third was shy and slithered away into the brush before I could change lenses.

From a recent visit to a Royal Armouries museum housed in Fort Nelson, one of Lord Palmerston's follies. There were these actors staging in Peninsular war costume (2 May 1808 – 17 Apr 1814), which predates the fort by some 70 years.
