Owlets

They have since fledged, but every time i drive by the empty nest I still look for them.

It was a fun 3-4 weeks watching them grow up.

Thanks, I always appreciate seeing what non FF lenses can be like at certain focal lengths on the K-1.

Lovely shots. I have that F28, it's wickedly awesome on the K-1, enough to put my FA31 desires at bay for awhile!

True about the F28mm. I have the 43mm and 77mm. Thought about complementing them with the 31mm Ltd., but I have had the F28mm for a long time and know it is a brilliant lens. I did not see the point spending a lot on the 31mm and having only a slight advantage over the F28.

Yeah that's where I'm currently at as well, 43, 77 and 28.

It's been kept in a garage so it must be in good condition--right?

The K-1 & HD DFA150-450mm combo resolving power continues to surprise me... If only this lens weighted what my DA*300mm does, I'd be in Pentax heaven, LOL!

For this amount of cropping while chasing bugs and birds, I'd prolly be better off with the one of the 24MP APSC bodies, as Normhead almost has me convinced, but then I get results like this, and have second thoughts. I still want an APSC as a 2nd body for long lens work someday... just waiting to see what the next announcement from Ricoh brings, as I am nothing if not patient. (the hallmark of being a Pentaxian. )

Heavily cropped to a little less than APSC size:

HD PENTAX-D FA 150-450mm F4.5-5.6ED DC AW ƒ/9.0 450.0 mm 1/1250 iso640

Same image file, insanely cropped:
That is insanely awesome, nice shooting Eric.
Best Regards, Bob

A few of the male and female Baltimore Orioles and a quiet setting of a tufted titmouse.
