I can see it's faster already. I had a couple of hickups that they have ironed out (such as sharing newly made Private albums/images). They still have the comment bug (if someone using the flickr mobile app makes a comment it might not show up on the desktop webpage etc). I think they are doing a fantastic job however, things are loading way quicker for me and my net speeds are abysmal.

I think you did great here, exposure is spot on.

Super as always.

------

Still using the 20-40 in FF mode on the K-1, loving the results. I'm wondering if there would be much interest in me doing a front page article of this lens performance for the K-1 in FF mode. Thus far I am finding a few things workable that were apparently foreshadowed not to be possible (such as shooting close range subjects and generating any usable shots at 40mm, for example);
Thanks Bruce, I'm trying to keep up with the amazing talent on this board... it's humbling sometimes to see the work done here!
Re: Flickr - Yes, I did notice the nice speed increase also on my last large upload, and general browsing as well. I think they will be fine and do a better job than Yahoo was doing.

Thanks, I was happy I made it in time as it started to look good while I was still home.

Today I captured a 16 frames 360° panorama using K1 in FF mode with DA*11-18@16 in portrait orientation.

PT Gui did the stitching job pretty well as always - I made a cylindrical projection resulting in a 16-bit tiff file of 1.2 GB and converted it to B&W. When you use 16mm in portrait mode you get 96° panorama height. I only had to crop a little bit on the top and bottom of the image. Here's the result ...

Interesting shot. I would like to hear more about your settings. Was the 11-18 in crop mode?

As I wrote, K-1 in FF mode. 18 down to 16mm you can use even with hood, 15mm without hood, vignetting you can remove in post.

In this case I didn't do this - C1Pro created 16 bit tiff files that were simply handed over to PT GUI to create the panorama. In C1Pro I then worked only a little bit on the tiff panorama image - including B&W conversion.

Capture settings: exposure manual mode, ISO100, f/11, 1/160s. Tripod, levelling unit, pano head, pano rail, L-bracket, K-1.

Something you can't do with a DFA15-30.

I'd like to show some images taken with DA*11-18 in K-1 Square mode - that's the restricted FF mode where you get 4912 x 4912px.

You can see two sets of images using 12 (89° in with and height) and 11mm (96° in width and height) without hood. Captures at f/6.3. Only small ev adjustments, slightly lifted RGB curve and little action to remove a bit vignetting. Both examples show that at 11mm vignetting is not fully removable but at 12mm it's easily manageable. In cases where you have natural dark corners you without doubt can also use 11mm in K-1 Square mode.

First outing with my Precious

I bought a used K-1 two weeks ago and this week the D FA 15-30 finally arrived, so I took the kit outside, even in a light rain. I had to.
And I enjoyed it a lot.

The picture of K-1 in action was taken with Fujifilm X-T3

Must be my fault, I added lots of yellow and orange bugs on my last upload ... what do you have against bugs anyway Frederic?
They are one of my favorite subjects!

Eric, super nice shots especially the first one. Now that you mention bugs and Frederic, I must say he certainly does a good job of bugging me with his moon shots. Perhaps he was a bug in his last life time...
For these red orange colored flowers I wish that a painted lady would have made a visit rather than the yellow swallow tail. Then maybe my photos would have been almost as cool as yours.
Best Regards, Bob
