Picked up an A28mm f2.8 recently, and tried it out Saturday while firing some mortar shells from my homemade launch setup.

Started out with three Roman candles.

The first shot I had the camera aimed too low.

So I raised the camera a bit.

That worked better, but I was still too close. I couldn't get any farther back, as the wires for the electric ignition are only so long, and I wanted to have the camera and the launch control close together.

I used a cable release, and bulb mode. Open shutter, fire shells, close shutter.

Next time, I'll have to use a wider lens, perhaps my Sigma 16,, f2.8 Rectilinear Fisheye.

Taken with my Pentax K1 and an old lens, the smc PENTAX-M 1:2 85mm with Pentax manual extension tubes number 1 and 2. Adjusted in Elements 10. F8, shutter 1/125, ISO 100.

After a long break I am posting something that was busy with.
Realistic Minimus-7W restored and modified. Tung oil did a great job. K-1 and Pentax-A 28mm f2.8 Macro, wide open.

i feel like i'm Starting to get a feel for the DSLR metering again after becoming used to the evf's of mirrorless.
