As a newcomer to the K1, my contribution to any "which lens should I get first" is now unquestionably the DA35/2.4 . Ridiculously cheap, light, small and it has character on the K1. (I do need a lens hood for it though). If only it was weathersealed, lol. Incidentally, are any of the smaller primes weather resistant?

These are jpegs, two of them are at iso1000 and i still love the oof area's.

That is a very colorful lily. Memorable within a group of flowers all of which are attractive.

The DA *55 which is OK on full frame and is weather sealed. The DFA *100 is weather sealed too, although it isn't exactly tiny (although small for what it is).

So-so image of mountain laurel that would benefit from cropping, but I'm posting the image uncropped and issuing a challenge = find the beetle (it's a weevil).

FOLLOWUP. Here's the little guy, close to center in the frame = in the sweet spot for the lens.

Today I went to see cool things. The first shot is a heavy crop of the second image. The B17 was one of the planes used used in the movie Memphis Belle and they have kept that paint scheme on it.

More cool things. they were giving rides in the P40. $990 for 1/2 hour and you get to take control while in flight. I seriously considered doing it. Not that often that you get to fly in a legend. Can't be any less leg room that what is in a modern passenger plane.
