Up to 40 volunteers may be here on a given day working to restore these planes. The one here will probably be airworthy in a couple of weeks, although the guy I talked to said, it completely depends on how many volunteers turn up between now and then.
The Museum is located in a working hanger.
A Lancaster being towed back in after a "mission". The working planes still participate in air shows etc. I asked a woman doing stuff under one plane if she was part of the exhibit, she said "No, I'm aircrew for this plane." I talked briefly to another crew member of a DC-3 doing some last minute prep, getting ready for it's next flight.
