Thanks. The area is known as the sandpit. In Victorian times the sand was dug out to make bricks. The trees at the edge have had the sand and soil they grow in slowly erode over the years, leaving the trees "standing" on their roots.

That's possible. It's in a garden near the Grand Ballon, between Alsace and Vosges in France, with only mountain flowers from all over the world...

Pentax A 645 120mm Macro with the K1

Just a test. It was evening, so this was at 3200ISO at F8.

I think I am going to like this lens!
