"Neuron Dance"

Owned the Olympus 20mm macro for years. Never managed anything decent out of it. Very difficult to shoot. Decided to mount it to Pentax bellows and K-1. Aimed bellows straight up and set microscope slide on front standard. The K-1's LV and flippy screen made this much easier. Pentax K-1, Pentax bellows, and Olympus OM 20mm f2 extreme macro lens. Approx. 13.7X. Cross posted from macro group.

Thanks for looking,
barondla

Yes, I was surprised how shy those animals are, it's all about survival. Nice shots but I wouldn't enlarge those for home deco, more like fit them into a documentary book about snakes and keep the book closed

Nice Miss Tamron portrait, the light/shadow may also render great in b&w and in print.

not snakes

pschlute, thank you Peter. The dog looks so happy, love that photo.
Frederic, thank you for the compliment. And Yep, those butterflies are UGLY, same with the bees, but the asters certainly are pretty...
biz-engineer, I agree not home deco but not as bad as photos of spiders.
Incredible migration of Monarch butterflies this year, I see 1 to 2 dozen a day and sometimes more. Have been watching for them to go to the asters, finally got some shots.
Best Regards, Bob
