And a nice post it is. Super image. Did you just get the K-1, or have you saved up pictures, and just now began posting them?
Thanks for sharing,

Thank you. I bought the camera eleven days ago, the lens(a DFA 28-105) arrived yesterday and the image was taken about four and a half hours ago.

Thanks -- I agree about the perspective being a no-brainer.

Nice work with 70-210. I bought the lens last year and used it for a few months on K-1. What I found most impressive with the lens is that fact that the sharpness of the lens, at least if you stopped the thing down, was pretty good throughout its entire focal range all the way to the corners on FF. My copy wasn't quite DFA sharp, but it was reasonably good nonetheless and reallly did appreciate the consistency of performance of the lens. The telephoto zoom lens I'm using now, the FA-J 75-300, while it may be a little sharper in its sweet spot than the A 70-210, can be significantly worse outside that sweet spot, so I have to be very careful what focal lengths I shoot at with that lens.

Here's an image of Mount Gould in Glacier NP shot with the DFA 28-105:
At first glance, the clouds surrounding the sunlit Mt. Gould make it look almost 3D. High impact helps grab viewer's attention.

mattb123, very nice shots. I think I like the first best as the ripples in the water mimic the movement of the clouds while also capturing the great colors.

Terrific capture. Funny picture with nice colors. Heron is thinking who needs all this to catch a fish?

Thank you both and I agree about the rippled shot vs. the glassy one. My favorite is usually right where the water falls away and distorts the reflection as it is about to break up.

It's that time of year again. Maybe we'll have a couple of months of Indian Summer now.

reaap, Like the landscape with reflection. I always struggle with the level of light in such shots. The trend, at least if you're an Outdoor Photog. mag. reader like me, seems to be a distinctly dark natural images. I want to make them lighter. Yours is dark (moody) but still reasonably light.
